Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mothproof method for clothes by which mothproof effects can readily and efficiently be applied to the clothes in a shoring cabinet for the clothes such as a bureau or a closet and to obtain an insect repellent for the clothes used therefor. SOLUTION: This mothproof method for the clothes is characterized in that the insect repellent is installed in a hanger for the clothes, the clothes are hung from the hanger for the clothes and the clothes are then stored in the storing cabinet for the clothes. The insect repellent for the clothes comprises a mothproof chemical stored in a storing container having a flexible hook or a movable hook for mounting the container on the hanger for the clothes.
