Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for producing a synthetic gas, with which the equipment cost can be reduced without necessitating high temperature heating. SOLUTION: The synthetic gas containing hydrogen, methane, carbon monoxide and an olefin based organic compound gas is generated by uniformly passing steam with a hydrocarbon gas to be decomposed between porous tubes 4 in porous tube group vertically existing extendedly in a decomposition reaction tower 1, jetting air or oxygen homogeneously in the direction at a right angle to the flow of steam and the hydrocarbon gas to be decomposed to the outside from the porous tube to ignite to form diffusion flame layer B on the outside surface of the porous tube 4 and causing a radical reaction by using the flame layer B as the heat source. |
