Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a self-extinguishing, flame-retardant sealing material which may be completely burnt by a heat of combustion at a relatively low temperature of around 400 deg.C in a domestic incinerator, inhibits incomplete combustion which leads to the generation of dioxins by promoting the combustion of other matters which are incinerated together with a sealing material and exhausts a clean gas by adsorbing harmful substances such as hydrogen chloride gas, etc., generated from other matters. SOLUTION: When in use, the flame-retardant sealing material show a self- extinguishing property, i.e., it is automatically extinguished when flame is removed. At incineration, the sealing material is completely burnt to change aluminum hydroxide present in the sealing material into active alumina, promotes the combustion of other matters which are incinerated together with the sealing material to inhibit incomplete combustion which leads to the generation of dioxins, and exhausts a clean gas by adsorbing harmful substances such as hydrogen chloride, etc., generated from other matters. |
