Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for curbing a missile that has compact and thin structure, and can be installed in narrow space. SOLUTION: The curbing device is composed of a curbing latch 7 that is engaged to a hook 4 of a missile 3, a main restriction lever 9 that is engaged to the curbing latch 7, and a shear pin 10 that passes through the restriction latch 7. In this case, the curbing latch 7 is directly fixed by the main curbing lever 9 and the shear pin 10, thus allowing the missile 3 to be subjected to main and sub curbing by the main curbing lever 9 and the shear pin 10, respectively. When the missile 3 is to be fired, the main curbing lever 9 is released from the curbing latch 7, and the curbing latch 7 is rotated by the fire motion of the missile 3 for shearing the shear pin 10.
