Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-split type air conditioner, capable of contributing to a reduction in size of an overall conditioner by mutually complementarily and rapidly eliminating oil deficiency in a plurality of compressors, improving the lifetime of each compressor and markedly improving reliability and reducing the volume of oil separator. SOLUTION: Oil-holding tanks 40 respectively communicate with cases 10c of compressors 10, and excess amounts of lubricating oils 'OIL' in the respective cases 10c are transferred to the respective tanks 40. A part of refrigerant discharged from the respective compressors 10 is introduced to the tanks 40, by respective pressurizing tubes 52, and the oils OIL are discharged from the respective tanks 40, and the discharged oils OIL are distributed between the compressors 10 via oil recovery tubes 45 and oil balance tubes 50.
