Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the waterproof/dust-proof performance by eliminating the opening part of a case by excluding a switch for setting. SOLUTION: This device 4 is provided with reading means 5 and 6 for performing communication with an IC card and reading contents, a memory means 8 for preserving data for setting for performing various kinds of setting concerning operation and a judging means 11 for judging whether or not the contents of the IC card read by the reading means are to be written in the memory means 8. This, the judging means 11 judges whether or not the contents of the IC card read by the reading means 5 and 6 are to be written in the memory means 8 and in the case of contents to be written, theses contents are written in the memory means 8 so that an IC card device 2 can be variously set. Further, since the switch for setting is unnecessitated, the convenience is improved and the waterproof/dust-proof performance is improved.
