Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide each optical coupling part 7 (9) with a sufficient strength in various directions crossing longitudinal direction of a Mach-Zehnder type coupler 3. SOLUTION: In a manner that a first optical coupling part 7 is enclosed with a pair of bi-sected first inner divided tubes 41, 43, one and the other inner divided tubes 41, 43 are integrated, while the first optical coupling part 7 is fixed in the first inner divided tubes 41, 43; similarly, in a manner that a second optical coupling part 9 is enclosed with a pair of bi-sected second inner divided tubes 45, 47, one and the other inner divided tubes 45, 47 are integrated, while the second optical coupling part 9 is fixed in the second inner divided tubes 45, 47. Then, in a manner that the first and the second inner divided tubes 41, 43, 45, 47 are enclosed with a pair of outer divided tubes 49, 51, one and the other outer divided tubes 49, 51 are integrated, and concurrently, the two sets of the inner divided tubes 41, 43, 45, 47 are integrated with the outer divided tubers 49, 51.
