Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rivet applier for arranging zippers for orthopedics in the body of a patient. SOLUTION: In the rivet applier 1, after a rivet body 18 is inserted, a pin 17 is moved into the rivet body to arrange and fix the rivet. The applier is provided with a hammer 3, a hammer spring 9, a discharging pin 6 and a receiver 32 for arranging the rivet. The hammer of the rivet applier is mounted on a mounting grip member 8. The mounting grip member 8 puts the hammer 3 in a discharging state. After that, the rivet is inserted into the receiver 32. In this state, when the engagement of the hammer is released, the hammer drives the discharging pin 6 so that the discharging pin 6 makes a rivet pin insert into the rivet.
