Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device which enable high-speed convolution processing irrelevantly to the size of a mask in consideration of the fact that while the reliability of inspection is higher and higher as the mask for convolution is larger and larger, that can not be actualized because of a processing time. SOLUTION: A mask divided into arbitrary areas corresponding to multiples of sampling intervals of image data is set and cumulative image data of object pixels of convolution processing of the image data are generated by a cumulative image data generating means 100. With the output of the cumulative image data generating means 100, addition data of areas corresponding to respective stages of the mask are obtained by a corresponding area addition data acquiring means 200 and outputted to a convolution value output means 300. The convolution value output means 300 multiplies the respective corresponding area addition data by the values of respective corresponding stages of the mask, sums up all the multiplication results, and outputs the result as the convolution value of the object pixels of convolution.
