Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a space required in a case where an engine for surface travelling boat is mounted on a hull, and ensure a required exhaust pipe length. SOLUTION: This engine 3 for the surface travelling boat is mounted inside the hull 2 in a state in which crankshafts 25, 26 are faced toward a longitudinal direction of the hull 2, and rotates to drive a propeller 4 arranged at a rear part of the hull 2. In the engine 3, an exhaust system is formed so as to extend forward from an exhaust port viewed from a direction perpendicular to the crankshafts 25, 26 of the engine 3, follow to be extendedly arranged to a rear part, and to surround a front side of a cylinder shaft A viewed from the direction of the cylinder shaft A of the engine 3.
