Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and light-weighted transfer device. SOLUTION: In this transfer device 1 having a main shaft 7 rotatably supported in a transfer case 3 and acting both as an input shaft and a first output shaft, and a second output shaft 67 connected to the main shaft 7 through a power transmitting mechanism 30 and a 2WD-4WD switching mechanism 13 mounted in parallel with the main shaft 7, the 2WD-4WD switching mechanism 13 (power interrupting mechanism) is mounted inside of a drive sprocket (input shaft side member) 33 of the power transmitting mechanism 30 on the main shaft 7, and located approximately on the same position.
