Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily manufacture a thermoelectric conversion module which is improved in reliability without lowering the cooling efficiency. SOLUTION: The thermoelectric conversion module is constituted in such a way that a plurality of thermoelectric elements 1 is electrically connected in series through a plurality of electrode plates 2 by connecting adjacent elements 1 to each other with the electrode plates 2 and the side face of each thermoelectric element 1 is coated with a coating layer 3 composed of an organic resin. In addition, a space is provided 3 between the coating layers 3 of adjacent thermoelectric elements 1. In a method of manufacturing the module, sliced articles S are formed by slicing a molded article D formed by burying the arrayed thermoelectric elements 1 in a resin so that the end faces of the thermoelectric elements 1 may be exposed on both surfaces of the articles S. Then, after metallic films 5 are provided on both surfaces of each sliced article S on which the end faces of the elements 1 are exposed, unnecessary portions are cut off by leaving the elements 1 and coating layers 3 as they are. When the molded article D is sliced, the end faces of the elements 1 are exposed and, when the unnecessary portions are cut off, the coating layers 3 are left only on the outer peripheral surfaces of the elements 1.
