Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect attachment and detachment of an image reader to an information processor without using a detection switch to detect presence/absence of loading of the image reader to the information processor. SOLUTION: This information processor is constituted so as to detect the loading of a scanner 20 on the main body by providing a scanner 20 to be mounted on a main body 11, to permit automatic reading of image information and to permit manual reading of an image by being detached from the main body 11, performing ON and OFF operation of a paper feed detection switch 40 with a retractable detection lever 41 provided on the main body 11 when the scanner 20 is loaded on the main body 11 from the front to the back along the main body 11, rotating a rotating disk 60b rotatably provided on the scanner 20 and counting pulses to be outputted according to rotating speed of the rotating disk 60b by an encoder 60.
