Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a latex for diagnostics capable of diverting a conventional reagent forming method wherein a stylene latex is used, precluded from fusion and the like among particles after formed into a reagent to keep high stability, reduced sufficiently in the absorbance of a dispersion to provide a highly precise measured value, and suitable to be uses as a latex for a reagent for an automated instrument, a method of manufacturing it, and diagnostics. SOLUTION: Monomers comprising mainly radically polymerizable fluoromonomers as a main component are emulsion-polymerized in an aqueous medium to form an emulsion suspended with fluororesin particles as core parts, monomers comprisng mainly stylene as a main component are added into the emulsion to be emulsion-polymerized further, and a shell part of stylene polymer is formed in the each fluororesin particle to form a core.shell type resin particle. An immuno-active group is made to be carried on a surface of the latex manufactured by this manner, and is dispersed in a buffer solution to form the latex for the diagnostics.
