Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of detecting a collision from the rear. SOLUTION: This device comprises a first filter receiving an acceleration signal from a sensor for acceleration generated in fore and aft directions, a second filter forming a band-pass filter having a filter characteristic different from the first filter and receiving an output from the first filter, and an arithmetic circuit receiving an output from the second filter for performing a first collision judgment and outputting a collision detection signal when a result of a one time integration of the output from the first filter exceeds a reference value after performing the first collision judgment.
