Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To find out an ingredient effective against not only simple wounds but also dermatoses, etc., accompanied by intractable ulcer represented by bedsore and to obtain a skin preparation for external use comprising the ingredient as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: This skin preparation for external use comprises a leukemia inhibitory factor(LIF) as an active ingredient. The skin preparation for external use is found to have excellent prophylactic effects and therapeutic effects on not only simple wounds but also dermatoses, etc., accompanied by the intractable ulcer represented by the bedsore.
