Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode of a fuel cell which can realize higher output of the cell, using less amount of catalysit. SOLUTION: Silicate mineral powders, such as tourmaline with a self- polarizing characteristic is mixed as a radical activation substance into a catalysis layer of an electrode formed of an ion conductive substance, such as prfluorosulfonic acid polymer, an electron conductive substance such as carbon black, and a catalysit activation substance such as Pt catalysit. Powders of inorganic ferroelectric substance such as titanium acid barium, organic ferroelectric substance such as poly vinylidene fluoride and the like, or a magnetic substance such as iron oxide may be used as substitutes for tourmaline. |
