Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display images of bright display with a good contrast without depending upon visual field angles by allowing high-polymer gels to exist stably in a display layer. SOLUTION: This display device 10 has an exothermic layer 14, the display layer 16 and a filter layer 18 at need on a substrate 12. The display layer 16 has a binder resin 20, porous particles which are dispersed in the binder resin and the high-polymer gels which are fixed to the holes on the surfaces of the porous particles and are reversibly changed in volume by temperature.
