Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve a problem that the sliding member of a refrigerant compressor employing HFC based alternative refrigerant is insufficient in a resistance to abrasion when the sliding member, whose surface is treated through ordinary nitriding treatment, is used and high in a treating cost when the sliding member is treated through PVD surface treatment. SOLUTION: The surface of a vane is activated chemically and, thereafter, is treated through nitriding treatment at a treating temperature of 500 deg.C or lower, whereby a dispersion layer, on the surface of which a compound layer is not produced, can be obtained and the abrasion resistance of the sliding unit can be obtained easily at a low cost.
