PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance operability of a positioning apparatus by providing a cutting apparatus equipped with the positioning apparatus capable of adjusting an operating position, in a horizontal type panel saw (a cutting apparatus) wherein a table for setting a cutting object matter is horizontally arranged, the positioning apparatus of the cutting object matter is provided on an opposite side to an operation position, then conventionally an operator has to move to the opposite side of the table to executes its adjusting operation. SOLUTION: A positioning apparatus 101 is equipped with a positioning stopper 133 for controlling a position in a direction crossing at right angles a cutting direction of a cutting material W by allowing the cutting material W to abut thereagainst, and a position of the positioning stopper 133 is enabled to be adjusted by rotary operation of a handle 120 provided on a cutting operating position side of a table 111. Rotation of the handle 120 is transmitted to screw shafts 126 and 126 via a support 121 and a chain transmission mechanism, and block bodies 130 and 130 are transferred thereby.
