SOLUTION: This method for producing 2,6-diamidephenol compound of formula (I) is characterized by catalytic reduction of 2,6-diamide-4- harogenophenol compound of formula (II) in the presence of a base [R is a (substituted) alkyl, aryl or alkoxy; X is Cl or Br].
