Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a dielectric porcelain composition for temperature compensation having a high relative dielectric constant and a high Q value, capable of being sintered at a low temperature and less liable to change in the characteristics of the ceramic due to firing and to obtain multilayer ceramic parts using the composition, e.g. a multilayer ceramic capacitor and a multilayer LC filter. SOLUTION: The composition contains 0.1-25 pts.wt. SiO2 glass (not containing Pb oxide) based on 100 pts.wt. principal component present in the region defined by points A-E in the (BaO, TiO2, Re2O3) ternary composition diagram (molar composition ratio). The SiO2 glass contains >3.0 to 20 pts.wt. (expressed in terms of MnO) Mn oxide. Preferably the glass is B2O3-SiO2 glass (not containing Pb oxide) and <=10 pts.wt. (expressed in terms of CuO) Cu oxide is further contained.
