Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas generator capable of preventing drive agent from entering into a blind space, easily and surely fixing the assembly, easily securing a prescribed filling rate of the drive agent, and preventing a fractured piece from falling off by a combustion gas pressure. SOLUTION: This gas generator is provided with an opening 31 for passing flames from an igniter 10 in the bottom face, a bottomed cylindrical holder 30 arranged as covering the outer circumference of a header part 11 of the igniter and an inflating part 12, a bottomed cylindrical cup 20 having an internal circumferential side face overlapped with the outer circumferential side face of the holder and having a closing part in the bottom face, and drive agent stored in the cup; and is so formed that the igniter is pinched between the holder and the body via the inflating part by stacking the opening end of the holder with the opening end of the cup to the body 40, and fixing them by calking, the outer circumferential side face of the holder and the internal circumferential side face of the cup are closely stuck without any clearance, and the drive agent storage part is formed between the opening part side of the holder and the closing part of the cup.
