Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct highly accurately with a small memory capacity by arranging a means for continuously generating read addresses for image data based on a relative inclination of print heads with using one burst access as a unit, etc. SOLUTION: A skew is brought about due to an inclination of a line formed by a yellow, magenta or cyan print head 46 to a black line K as a reference. In this case, a black circle represents one dot and a first skew-correcting part 42a corrects in units of one lines. A second skew-correcting part 42b corrects in units of 1/3 lines. Printing is carried out with the use of data after corrected, and therefore the skew can be reduced to be smaller than one line. The skew correction in units of one lines is executed by processing image data stored to a bit map memory region in an image memory 34 within the memory 34. |
