Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active antenna, capable of impedance setting that the impedance of a helical antenna shows capacitance with a low frequency and inductance with a high frequency if viewed in terms of a wide band, the extension of impedance on a Smith chart is small if it is used in an inductive frequency and the characteristic of a high gain can be obtained in wide band and realizing impedance setting adapted to various purposes. SOLUTION: The active antenna is constituted of a helical antenna 5 and a semiconductor element 7, which are mounted on the same substrate 1. The lead 6 of the helical antenna 5 is connected directly to the input terminal or the output terminal of the semiconductor element 7 via a connection line or a matching circuit 8. The core diameter, the number of windings, and the inter- wiring pitch of the helical antenna are set, so that the impedance of the helical antenna in a use frequency becomes inductive. |
