Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent excessive drop of a return air temperature when pulling down by providing a controller for lowering a refrigerating capability of a cooler when an output signal of a circulating passage temperature detector indicates a predetermined lower limit temperature in a process of lowering an indoor temperature to a target temperature. SOLUTION: When a signal indicating that a return air temperature is lowered to a suction lower limit temperature of the refrigerator is output by a circulating passage temperature detector 14, the controller 10 for an indirect cooling type refrigerator stops a refrigerating machine 6 and a cold air fan 8. The return air temperature starts rising by the stops of the refrigerating machine 6 and the fan 8. Then, when a signal indicating that the air temperature rises to a lower predetermined temperature than an indoor target temperature is output from the detector 14, the controller 10 for the refrigerator again operates the refrigerating 6 and the fan 8. The return air temperature is again lowered to the suction lower limit temperature, and the controller 10 for the refrigerator stops the refrigerating machine 6 and the fan 8. This cycle is repeated.
