Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle seat which allows the angle of a seatback part to be adjusted smoothly to provide a sense of integrity with the seat, and which enables an initial seat line to be maintained. SOLUTION: A seatback part 2 is joined with a seat cushion part 1 in such a manner as to be longitudinally angularly adjustable. In that case, the seatback part 2 and a seat cushion part 1 are covered with covers which are formed integrally and continuously at least in terms of appearance, arid the seat has an elastically deformable shape retaining member 20 positioned between the back frame 15 of the seatback part 2 and the cushion frame 14 of the seat cushion part 1 to retain a seat corner part 7 by making surface contact therewith from below, the seat corner part 7 being located between the underside of the seatback part 2 and the rear of the seat cushion part 1.
