Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a terminal device side to acquire a display video image via network. SOLUTION: A video display system consists of a video display device 20 that displays a commercial video image, a video controller 30 that supplies video signal to the video display device to control the display state, a video surfer 100 that uses a video controller for an information source and is connected to a computer network 120, and a terminal 130 that is connected to the computer network. The terminal accesses the video server via the network to acquire a current video image being displayed on the video display device, the video image whose display is finished or a video image which is about to be displayed. Thus, terminals at remote places can share a video image or the like in common, and the remote place can manage transmission of a video image or the like.
