Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently inhibit the heat generation by drawing out a terminal connected to an electrode of a generating element to the external through a cooling part in a case, and directly cooling the terminal by sending a coolant to the cooling part. SOLUTION: In a lithium ion secondary battery 1, a positive electrode collector 4 is connected and fixed to a positive electrode terminal 6 formed by an aluminum rod member, and a negative electrode collector 5 is connected and fixed to a negative electrode terminal 7 formed by a copper rod member, respectively by caulking or the like. A battery case 3 is made of a stainless steel material, and consists of a case body 3a and a case lid 3b, and the case body 3a stores a generating element 2. The circumference of a partitioning plate 8 made of a stainless steel material, is sealed and fixed to an upper end of the case body 3a, and forms a space as a cooling part between the case body 3a and the case lid 3b. The positive electrode terminal 6 and the negative electrode terminal 7 are drawn out to the external through the cooling part. A coolant such as the insulating oil or liquid paraffin is circulated through an inlet 3c and an outlet 3d from an external cooling device.
