Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a gas generating agent composition for a safety apparatus having a high decomposition rate and a high decomposition starting temperature without using ammonium nitrate by making the composition include a gas generating agent composed of a 5,5'-bis-1H-tetrazolamine salt and an oxidizing agent composed of an inorganic metal salt. SOLUTION: This gas generating agent composition for a safety apparatus comprises a gas generating agent composed of a 5,5'-bis-1H-tetrazolamine salt of the formula (R1 and R2 are each an amine) and an oxidizing agent composed of an inorganic metal salt. Preferably the R1 and R2 of the gas generating agent are each guanidine and the oxidizing agent is one or more selected from an alkali metal or an alkaline earth metal nitrate such as strontium nitrate and an oxohalogen acid such as potassium perchlorate, etc. A metal oxide such as kaolin, a carbonate or a sulfate is used as a coolant also as a residue forming agent to drop a combustion temperature and to take in a solid content in the gas generating agent composition. |
