Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a copying machine equipped with a printing function simultaneously with a copying function. SOLUTION: A reading means consisting of movable scanner parts 3a and 3b, a lens 4 and a CCD image sensor 5 reads an original 1 and outputs image data. When a character or a graphic is set on a key panel 6, an image processing part 7 generates image data expressing the character or the graphic, synthesizes this data with the image data from the reading means and outputs it to a copying means. The copying means consisting of a photoreceptor drum 8, an electrifier 9, a laser exposure part 10, a developing device 11, a transfer drum 13, an attraction electrifier 14, a transfer electrifier 15, a separation electrifier 16 and fixing rollers 17a and 17b transfers a toner image in accordance with the image data to recording paper 12.
