Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly and quickly discriminate whether or not the white balance is properly adjusted according to a displayed result on a viewfinder. SOLUTION: A monochromatic viewfinder 20 displays line-sequential R.G.B signals for displaying the white balance. Since the R.G.B signals have the same level (R=G=B) when the white balance is well adjusted, the image of white color parts of an object is normally displayed. When the white balance is not adjusted, stripes laterally appear, however, in the image, a user can easily visually recognize the unbalanced white balance.
