PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a lineage chart with which not only the names of respective persons but also faces can be recognized by inputting the data of respective persons described on the lineage chart, arranging the information of respective persons and drawing a connecting line based on required connection data. SOLUTION: First of all, the discriminated data of respective persons described on the lineage chart are inputted and the connection data required for preparing the lineage chart of the family of a concerned person, spouse, children, parents and bothers and sisters or the like are inputted and stored in a filing device. Next, the eldest ancestor on the lineage chart is extracted from persons, for whom the birthday or parents are not inputted, out of the data of respective persons and the writing arrangement of discriminated information such as name 2, birthday 3, date of death 4, place of birth 5 and temple 6 of each person, connecting line drawing 7 of the family line and the writing arrangement of a portrait 8 and a family crest 9 are performed and these name 2, birthday 3, date of death 4, place of birth 5, temple 6, connecting line drawing 7, portrait 8 and family crest 9 are outputted and printed on paper 1 so that the chart can be completed.
