Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of maintenance work by making it unnecessary to install a communicating telephone laid between a central operation room and a site and conventionally required for maintenance work. SOLUTION: In a controller maintenance circuit constituted of a computer 1 for executing control and plural remote PI/O substrates 22 connected through a network or a private line and capable of inputting a sensor signal, driving an actuator or the like, each PI/O substrate 22 is provided with a switch 23 for generating a maintenance request signal to the computer and a display 25 for permitting each PI/O substrate 22 to execute maintenance work after completion of signal isolation work necessary for the maintenance request from the substrate 22 to the computer 1 side.
