Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction pressure joining device with which a high quality product is available with a precision in a short time without a necessity of a complicated peripheral devices, and further the objects of worked products are extended. SOLUTION: A first work W1 is detachably fitted to an end part of a spindle 14 freely rotatably supported by a spindle supporting member 13 with a constant position in an axial direction, a second work W2 opposing to the first work W1 is detachably fitted to a slider 31 whose proximity to and separation from the spindle supporting member 13 is allowed, both of an electric servomotor giving a rotational power to a ball screw 49 provided between a fixed supporting plate 28 and a slider 31, and of an electric spindle motor 21 rotationally driving the spindle 14 are controlled by a control unit so that the rotational torque of the electric servomotor can be controlled and the regenerative braking of the electric spindle motor 21 can be performed while deciding the stopping angular position of the spindle 14 on the basis of the detected value by an angular detector 61.
