Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric barrier discharge lamp allowing inner surfaces of a container material to be cleaned easily and sufficiently, thereby having good luminous characteristics, and easy to manufacture. SOLUTION: This dielectric barrier discharge lamp has a discharge container 10 of a cylindrical double-tube structure comprising an outer tube 11 and an inner tube 12, and a cylindrical discharge space formed between the outer tube 11 and the inner tube 12 is filled with a gas for discharge that forms excimer molecules by dielectric barrier discharge. Two or more remnants 25, 26 of fluid communicating tubes each communicating with the discharge space are formed on the discharge container 10. Preferably, the two or more remnants 25, 26 of the fluid communicating tubes are formed on one end part of the discharge container 10 and on the other end part thereof.
