SOLUTION: This liquid crystal display device 1a is produced by successively forming an undercoat layer 3, transparent electrode 4 and alignment layer 5 on a glass substrate 2, successively laminating an undercoat layer 7, reflection layer 13, color filter 9b, transparent electrode 10 and alignment layer 11 on a glass substrate 6, and then laminating the two glass substrates 2, 6 with the transparent electrodes 4, 10 perpendicular to each other through a liquid crystal layer 12. In this method, the reflection layer 13 consists of a lot of metal spots in dots.
