Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the splash of lubricant by a rocking cam. SOLUTION: A rocking cam 13 is rotatably and externally fitted to the outer periphery of a drive shaft 15. A rocker arm 19 is rotatably and externally fitted to the control cam 18 fixed to the outer periphery of a control shaft 17. When the drive shaft 15 is rotated interlocked with an engine, the rocking cam 13 rocks through an eccentric cam 16, ring-shaped link 21, rocker arm and rod-shaped link, opening and closing an intake valve 11. When the rotation of the control shaft 17 is controlled, the position of the center C of the rocker arm 19 varies, changing the lift property of the intake valve 11. The rocking cam side end of the rod-shaped link 24 rotatably connected to the tip section 13b of the rocking cam 13 through a third pin 23 is formed into a two-forked shape holding the rocking cam 13 from both sides in the axial direction. |
