Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dismantling method of a furnace body mantel in a blast furnace, in which the furnace body mantel can be dismantled in a short time while preventing the damage to the surrounding equipments by using a hollow hydraulic jack. SOLUTION: Two or more liners 33 with taper disposed at an interval in a circumferential direction are hitted between the lower side mantel 20 to be removed and the upper surface of a carrying device 12. Eighty to 120% of the wt. of the lower side mantel 20 is supported with rails 25, and also, while supporting the balancing load of the furnace body mantel with the hollow hydraulic jack 24, the lower side mantel 20 is fully cut off from upper mantels 21, 22.
