Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a low-smelling insecticidal mildew proofing agent by making ethylene glycol monohexyl ether as a repellent (insecticide) have the function of mildew proofing agent not requiring contact with a material to be protected from a mold, reducing a smell and prolonging both functions of insect proofing and mildew proofing. SOLUTION: Ethylene glycol monohexyl ether shows insecticidal (repellent) function and mildew proofing function by vaporization. Due to a strong smell, the indoor use of the compound is avoided and its function is also short. Consequently, in order to reduce the strong smell, at least one of glycerol and a surfactant is used as a smell reducing agent and at least one of a porous carrier and an oil absorption agent is used as a vaporization adjuster so as to prolong both functions of insect proofing and mildew proofing.
