Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the crack, etc., of a cast slab and to restrain the bulging defect and sliver flaw, etc., by restraining gas bubble caght in solidified shell, without executing the drastical reconstruction. SOLUTION: In a continuous casting method of molten steel, in which a steel slab 15 is produced by giving the molten steel 12 the stirring flow based on an electromagnetic stirring while the molten steel 12 poured into a mold 11 is cooled by sprayed water from the mold 11 and supporting segments 16, 17 and the molten steel 12 is solidified, the stirring flow from the center toward short sides in the inside upper range of curving part 18 of the cast slab 15, is given with the electromagnetic stirring device 20 arranged proximately to the outside upper area of the curving part 18 of the cast slab 15. |
