Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a color photographic silver halide material which is outstanding for good color reproduction independently of a processing method by incorporating a specified compound into a non-photosensitive layer situated farther from a substrate than photosensitive layers. SOLUTION: The color photographic silver halide material contains silver halide, at least 90% of which comprises AgCl, includes a blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, a green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer and a red- sensitive silver halide emulsion layer and contains a compound of formula I or II in a non-photosensitive layer situated farther from the substrate than the photosensitive layers. In the formula I, R1 is H, alkyl or acyl, R2 and R3 are each alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkenyl or the like and (n) and (m) are each 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4. In the formula II, R11 and R12 are each alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl or the like, R13 and R14 are each OR15 or R11 R15 is H, alkyl or aryl, (o) is 1, 2, 3 or 4 and (p) is 1, 2 or 3.
