Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent adhesion of foreign matter to a front face of a casing body by providing a beam-permeable foreign matter shielding body turnable by the wind in front of the casing body housing a device main body including a radar head. SOLUTION: An on-vehicle radar device used for a vehicle collision prevention system and the like is provided with an air-tight structure casing body 1 arranged in the back of a front grill G or the like for housing a radar main body and an impeller 2. The impeller 2 is installed to a rotary shaft, which is held in the bottom face of the casing body 1 freely rotationally while crossing its front end face at right angles approximately, and constructed of a material such as tetrafluoroethylene allowing passage of radio waves transmitted/received by an antenna in the main body part without hardly causing attenuation. The impeller 2 is turned by the wind blown inward during travel and shakes off snow and mud blown into the casing body 1 by centrifugal force. In this way, no snow or mud sticks to the front end face of the easing body 1, so that a transmitting/receiving characteristic of the antenna can be secured. |
