Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display high seal performance by storing an elastic member within a metallic jacket having a pair of collar parts and providing a projection abutted on a seal surface of a member to be sealed on the metallic jacket, in a seal suitable for a pipe and a container evacuated at the inside. SOLUTION: A metallic jacket 2 integrally has an annular belly part 24 and a pair of collar parts 22 extending from each of both sides of the belly part 24 to the outside and has an opening part 23 opened outward over an entire periphery. In the belly part 24, a center part is formed into a circular arc shape projected toward the inside of a ring. In the jacket 2, the opening part 23 is formed into a U-shape in cross-section directed to the outside and an annular elastic member 1 is stored at the inside (jacket part). In this case, a projection 25 having a trapezoidal shape in cross section is provided on a clamped surface 21 so as to display high seal performance by small seal fastening force. A surface receiving fastening force by the collar parts 22 of the elastic member 1 is formed into a flat part in contact with an internal surface of the collar parts 22. |
