Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for hanging a ladder in a vertical shaft whereby the ladder can be extended and hung downward as the vertical shaft is dug and connecting plates are extended, while enabling the use of general ladder members without the need for special machining on the connecting plates and the need for any special fixtures that are difficult to fabricate, with the result that mounting strength becomes very high. SOLUTION: In this method, earth-retaining connecting plates 2A are extended along the inner surface of a vertical shaft 1 and connected together downward as the vertical shaft 1 is dug, and a ladder is hung down into the vertical shaft 1 whose inner surface is covered with the interconnected plates 2 to retain earth. A fixture 6 provided with a wrapping clamp 5 at its front end has its rear end securely attached to a plate connection 4 connecting the lower connecting plate 2A to the upper connecting plate 2A, and each of connecting ladders 3A connected together downward is securely wrapped by the wrapping clamp 5 of the fixture 6 projecting from the plate connection 4. The connecting plates 2A are connected together and extended and hung downward and the connecting ladders 3A are connected together and are extended and hung downward.
