PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound base isolation unit and a base isolation structure using this unit, excellent in execution work and economical efficiency while uneven settlement of the structure is prevented from being caused and excellent base isolation performance by long periodicity and high damping of the structure can be displayed. SOLUTION: This compound base isolation unit 3 is integrally formed with a pair of fixture plates 4a, 4b fixed to each upper/lower structure 2, 1, connection plate 5 arranged between these fixture plates 4a, 4b, first base isolation devices 6, 7 by a slide support fixing main unit parts 6a, 7a to an upper or lower surface of this connection plate 5 and providing slide materials 6, 7 in a tip end part slidably in the opposed fixture plates 4a, 4b, and second base isolation devices 8, 9 by an elastic support fixing both end parts respectively to the fixture plates 4a, 4b and the connection plate 5. This base isolation structure arranges the compound base isolation unit 3 in a position where the base isolation device between the upper/lower structure 1, 2 must be interposed.
