Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound base isolation unit and a base isolation structure using this unit, excellent in execution work and economical efficiency while uneven settlement of the structure is prevented from being caused and excellent base isolation performance by long periodicity and high damping generation of the structure can be displayed. SOLUTION: This compound base isolation unit 3 is integrally formed with a pair of fixture plates 4a, 4b fixed to each upper/lower structure 2, 1, first base isolation device 5 by a slide support fixed to one fixture plate 4b and provided slidably in the other fixture plate 4a, and a second base isolation device 6 by an elastic support fixing both end parts to the fixture plates 4a, 4b. This base isolation structure arranges are compound base isolation unit 3 in a position where the base isolation device between the upper/lower structures 1, 2 must be interposed.
