Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of IM component of high level, regardless of vibration or bending by providing, on an insulator for covering an internal conductor such as a copper wire, an external conductor consisting of a metal foil vertically laid along the insulator and a braid for covering the outer circumference of the metal foil on the insulator, and interposing an insulating layer between the metal foil and the braid. SOLUTION: A high-frequency coaxial cable 10 comprises a cylindrical insulator 2 of polyethylene for covering an internal conductor 1, such as aluminum wire or copper wire and a metal foil 11 of aluminum or copper to be laid vertically along the insulator 2. The cable 10 further comprises an external conductor 16 consisting of a braid 14 for covering the foil 11, and a sheath 5 of polyethylene or vinyl for covering the outer circumference thereof. Particularly, an insulating layer 12 of plastic film is interposed between the metal foil 11 and the braid 14, so that the external conductor 16 has the noncontact structure of the metal foil 11 and the braid 14. According to this, since no contacting uneven part is formed, the generation of IM components of high level is prevented, even if the cable 10 is vibrated or bent.
