Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce specific gravity and reduce weight of a brake drum extremely light by making a material of the brake drum an aluminium base composite material. SOLUTION: A wheel hub 10 integrally casting a brake drum 16 on the aluminium made wheel hub 10 has a characteristic that the brake drum 16 is an aluminium base composite material. Consequently, as the brake drum 16 is the aluminium base composite material, heat conductivity is high in comparison with cast iron, it is possible to efficiently transmit heat generated on the brake drum 16 to the wheel hub 10, and it is excellent in a heat radiation property. Consequently, it is possible to efficiently cool the brake drum 16 and to improve performance of this drum type brake.
