PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely fix a ground working machine regardless of the thickness or hardness of a pavement by providing a suction part for sucking a pavement surface, and fixing the ground working machine to the pavement surface by the sucking force of the suction part. SOLUTION: This fixing device 7 has a suction part 10 for sucking a pavement surface B, and a vacuum unit having a vacuum pump for operating the suction part 10, and the suction part 10 is arranged on the lower side of a machine frame 8 between lateral crawler traveling devices 9. The suction part 10 has a suction hose 14 connected to a top plate 12 and hydraulic cylinders connected to two longitudinal positions of the top plate 12 so as to be liftable by the expanding and contracting operation of the hydraulic cylinders. A pipe burying machine D is traveled to a prescribed fixed position in the state where the suction part 10 is raised, and the suction part 10 is lowered and pressed to the pavement surface B, and the pavement surface B is sucked by the drive of the vacuum unit to fix the pipe burying machine D to the pavement surface B by the sucking force of the suction part 10.
